reset macbook's mouse module on linux
Hi,
I’ve been on some mouse inconsistencies using macbook on train. I guess moving laptop activate accelerometers and maybe leave your touchpad mouse on unusable state. Suspend and resume or reboot OS solve the problem, but a I need a quick solve.
Searching google, ubuntuforums give me the trick how to reset. Just unload and load the module:
sudo modprobe -r appletouch ; sudo...

On osx. Open itunes, select podcasts on left pane, and export playlist

my iphone was stolen few weeks ago. Now, my main media player, on train, had fattened to 2.2Kg white macbook.
I was being bind to itunes due to sync with iphone. Now, I’m free to sync, and I prefer to move this “compy’s function” to ubuntu and leave itunes app. I found this workaround to play this media on my preferred music/video player:

ubiquity + calendar
When I am lucid, I remember to save time with ubiquity for my firefox’s usage. My first uses, was update twitter status, but today it’s time for easy google calendar use.
Just select text, launch ubiquity (my shortcut is shift+space), start typing word of “calendar” (cale..) and press enter.

setting an smtp mx backup
Hi,
I’m testing and looking for a best setup of mx backup for my domains. I was happy with old setup, exim looking dns to see if himself are listed on mx records and relay it.
But now it’s time to change it and reduce spam hits. I want to do the same features, including good greylisting and maybe virus scanner. Anyone knows good answer?

today at job (I’m new here), We’ve suffered an attack to one debian server. Our provider advertised us, and seen what’s happened. I found several processes scanning ips ranges and incrementing the load of server. they run on user account, not root (lucky :). I’ve passed 2 checks of rootkits and cleaned every suspiciuos files.
How they gain access? with the basics...
